Gallo's Morning Diatribe for April 25, 2002

Kidde Porn and the A.C.L.U.

The Supreme Court rules. The nation's Attorney General issues a rare condemnation. The cancer of kiddie porn invades another layer of society. The local A.C.L.U. Chapters all across America call press conferences to claim another triumphant victory for the Freedom of Speech. Gayle Chadwick heads the Jackson office of the A.C.L.U. I've asked Ms. Chadwick to join me on the air numerous times without success. However, she was front and center everywhere else dishing out well-rehearsed sound bites for the mother-house as soon as the ruling came down. "Child pornography is a free speech issue," she says. Then she blurts out, "No matter what the consequences are." Whoa! Are you insane? No matter what the consequences? Lady, did you actually say that?

All freedoms should be used wisely. These freedoms we cherish were paid for in the blood of our fathers and forefathers. There ARE limits, even though the A.C.L.U. may not approve. If you yell FIRE in a crowded theater and five people jump from the balcony to their demise, you are responsible. If you stand outside the gates of the White House and threaten the President of the United States, you can expect a visit from the Secret Service. You can request they pull a copy of the Constitution from your shirt pocket should they like to read the entire text. You'll need that assistance because your sweaty little hands will be in cuffs behind your back.

On a recent show, Scott Leary, a special prosecutor with the State's Attorney General's office joined me for more clarification of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling. Here are some of the highlights of that interview-

-This whole effort was directed by a group of porno merchants. Using free speech advocates and the United States Constitution they successfully forced a decision by the U.S. Supreme Court.

-With the Court's ruling (stating that any Internet pedophile still-shots or videos that are simulated, no matter how realistic, are NOT AGAINST THE LAW) prosecuting these perverts will be even more difficult.

-As an example, Scott related the Internet morphing of the popular Mary-Kate and Ashley twins into vile pornographic material. Can you imagine your child trying to buy the latest Olsen twin's video and getting this excrement? Oh, by the way Britney Spears fans, thanks to morphing you can find nude Britney Spears photos too.

-He also related to the audience about Internet sites showing adults having sex with children as young as infants. Guess what? If it's computer generated, no matter how real it looks, IT'S LEGAL! Get ready for this already growing industry to EXPLODE! How's that for artistic expression, Ms. Chadwick?

-Towards the end of the interview, I asked Scott if this ruling would have any bearing on perverts currently in prison who may want a new trial. He didn't even want to go there. Can you imagine? Every sicko behind bars could now assert innocence because the kiddie-porn he was gratifying himself with was computer generated. Most would not win, but what a logistic and financial nightmare for our already strained justice system in Mississippi.

In a return email I related to Ms. Chadwick that the A.C.L.U.'s righteousness had done immeasurable harm to this country's moral fabric. Show me just one lawsuit filed by these leftist loonies that has helped make America stronger instead of weaker. In the guise of protecting our freedoms, the A.C.L.U. has assisted in taking common sense out of the justice system, punishment out of the penal farm, morality out of the media and God out of the classroom. No wonder so many people think the A.C.L.U. drives the communist agenda in the United States. Whether they carry a membership card or not, the results of their misguided mission remain the same.

Sometimes, I don't know how these people sleep at night. I wonder if most of them put a blindfold on their conscience so they can cash their paychecks. I'm sure they all use Direct Deposit. I can't imagine a true member carrying the words "In God We Trust" on their person. And finally, when you look at all the legal efforts generated by the A.C.L.U., it boils down to simply this- THE A.C.L.U. HAS HELPED BAD PEOPLE DO BAD THINGS! That's it When you have used up all the time God gave you and your entire life flashes before your eyes---that's one hell of a revelation.
