Mike - Brandon - 'Moore's Anointment'
MOORE'S ANOINTMENT Danny McKenzie's recent article in the Tupelo paper concerning Jim Hood's run for the Attorney General office smacked of an anointment of Hood by AG Mike Moore. Hood admits he had no thought of running for AG until he got a call from Moore, informing him that he was! Hood's only objection to running was a long drawn out Democratic primary. Surprise, surprise, there is not going to be one. I can't help but wonder why the Democrats don't have additional challengers for the open AG job. I have a real problem with anointments by either political party. Primaries are healthy for the political process and they often produce those general election canidates that are not anointed, like Governor Fordice for instance.
