Our
President is A Man of God
By: Clinton B. Lesueur
I have been desponded by preachers preaching that this war is about oil and revenge for what President George W. Bush's daddy could not do. This war is about good over evil.
Yes, we all want peace, but we must understand that in order to have peace we must have security. The two are synonymous. And there is no doubt that Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden hate Christianity, Israel and America.
In June of 1996, at least 19 Americans were killed when a powerful truck bomb ripped through a U.S. Air Force barracks in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. At the time president Clinton recognized it as "work of terrorists" and declared, "The cowards who committed this murderous act must not go unpunished." But no military action was taken.
In August of 1998, 210 people were killed and more than 5000 injured when US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, Africa were bombed. After the attack the Clinton administration did retaliate despite being distracted by the Monica Lewinsky episode. The U.S. military fired over 70 cruise missiles at a camp in Afghanistan where the Central Intelligence Agency believed the alleged mastermind of the bombings - Osama bin Laden - was operating a terrorist training camp. Bin Laden escaped any injury.
In October of 2000, the Navy destroyer U-S-S Cole in the Yemeni port of Aden was attack and 17 navy personnel were killed in the blast. President Clinton expressed condolences to the commander over the deaths and injuries among the crew, and said, the U-S government was determined to identify and hold accountable those behind the bombing. Actions have yet to be taken.
Finally, on September 11, 2001, these same antichrist, evil, terrorists bombed the World Trade Center in New York killing over 3,000 people.
After years of cowering down and slapping terrorists on the risk God has sent us a bold president who has no fear of evildoers.
With God on his side he has rooted out the terrorist regime in Afghanistan. And he is now rooting out the evil regime in Iraq.
Some have
expressed displeasure with the straight talk and firmness of our President.
Well, God's people have never bowed down nor negotiated with evildoers
If the definition of meek is, "Strength under control," then President
George W. Bush has displayed meekness. President Bush has exemplified great
leadership skills through patient.
Some may argue that it is impossible to be a Christian and support war because of the separation between Church and State. I fervently disagree. The Bible declares that there will be wars. And the Bible is filled with examples of God's people waging war against evil.
I believe
that God is in everything. President Calvin Coolidge said, "The foundations
of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the Bible
that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would
cease to be..." And of course George Washington said much the same thing.
He said, "It is impossible rightly to govern the world without God and
the Bible."
